Horizontally Resizing a Search with OpenSearch Cluster
Horizontally resize an OpenSearch cluster to increase or decrease the number of nodes for the cluster.
This form of scaling lets you to improve the availability and resiliency of clusters.
Before you resize a cluster, review Limitations and Considerations.
Note
In-place horizontal resizing allows the cluster to continue accepting reads and writes. Other resize operations can temporarily place the cluster in read-only mode. Increasing data-node storage without changing other settings doesn't require read-only mode. Cluster performance and individual requests can be affected during resizing. For more information, see Cluster Patching and Resize Operations.

Use the resizehorizontal command and required parameters to horizontally resize a cluster:
oci opensearch cluster resizehorizontal --opensearch-cluster-id cluster_ocid [OPTIONS]For a complete list of parameters and values for CLI commands, see the CLI Command Reference.
Run ResizeOpensearchClusterHorizontal operation to horizontally resize a cluster.
